Jamaica Wedding Requirements
We provide a fully licensed minister who will perform the wedding ceremony. Traditional, in the true Jamaican style, it is customary for couple to get some form of counseling. Therefore, it is recommended to make an appointment with the minister who will give some words of encouragement and blessing before tying the knot.
In accordance to Jamaican law each couple is required to provide some information before getting married in Jamaica:
  • Proof of citizenship-certified copy of birth certificate, including father’s name. 
  • Parent’s written consent if under 21 years of age.
  • Proof of divorce if applicable (original certificate of divorce).
  • Certified copy of death certificate for widow or widower.
  • Applicants’ full names and occupations, marital status (single, divorced, widowed), March 5, 2010e of the location where the ceremony will be held and proposed length of stay in Jamaica.
  • State issued birth certificate.
  • All pages of the court certified final divorce decree.
  • Legal name changes or legal adoptions papers if applicable.
  • State issued death certificates with related marriage certificates.
  • All legal documents must be in English or legally translated into English from the translator's office. No documents will be returned to the couple and should be mailed via a courier service so documents can be tracked. Passports are NOT accepted. Please mail notarized copies of documents to the Wedding Office at least 60 days prior to your arrival date.

Marriage is one of the most important steps you will be taking in your life.  Doing it right is a must!

Exclusive Tropical Weddings is geared towards making this reality – a success.  After detail discussions with the wedding coordinator and upon confirmation of all services needed for the wedding, we request a non-refundable deposit of $315 that will go towards the full payment.

This deposit is used to secure the marriage licences, the wedding date, and venue and confirmation of related services.  The deposit must be paid upon confirmation or at least 60 days prior to the wedding date. All outstanding balance should be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the wedding date.

Payment can be made either by cash, credit card or wire transfer.
Booking Policy
  • Once confirmation is made 50% of full total required
  • A non refundable deposit of $315
  • Final Payment due at least 30 days prior to wedding date
  • Conditions apply for weddings booked least than 14 days before actual ceremony.  Details will be given upon confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation 45 days or more Service Charge is $315
  • Within 30 days 25% Service Charge of wedding package
  •  Within 14 days No Refund    
Note
  • Deposits made for weddings scheduled on public holidays are non-refundable.
  • The wedding packages include the services listed on the website and for a total of 2-10 persons.
  • An additional cost will be applied for person(s) in excess of 10. 
  • There is an additional cost if weddings are booked and planned less than 14 days prior to wedding date or couple's arrival in Jamaica.
  • ****Exclusive Tropical Weddings reserves the rights to choose the wedding venue.
  • Prices may vary depending on location, wedding coordination and planning and services required.
